Mahjong Playing Manual
2022 - Publication
Supervised by Adam Cruickshank
A playing manual for the centuries-old Chinese strategy game, Mahjong. Targeted towards teenagers aged 12 to 17, the manual is designed to help the kids that could only cluelessly look on as the adults played at family gatherings. The notoriously complex and lengthy game often involves players paying money to the winner. The playing manual features basic rules of Hong Kong Mahjong, as well as a modified version that can be played entirely as a strategy game, without the additional rules required when exchange of money is present.
The playing manual is accompanied by a slider with combinations of Mahjong tiles and their corresponding name in English and Cantonese. With continued use, beginners can learn necessary terminology used in the game.
